Kenneth WORDEN Obituary

Born on January 16, 1930, passed away peacefully at age 88 on April 10, 2018 in Chisago City, MN at Parmly on the Lake Senior Home. Preceded in death by his sister Valerie and his daughter Susan. He is survived by his brother Ronald and sister Sally; his daughters Carolyn, Colleen and Cindy; grandchildren Ken and Susan; great-grandchild Raina. Ken also had a meaningful relationship with family member Sue, long-time friends Harry and wife Kay, and beloved friend Helen. Family wants to extend appreciation and thank you to all that had the honor to know Ken especially, to staff, residents and volunteers at Parmly – they all made his later life the best it could be. A special thank you to St Croix Hospice for their compassionate end-of-life care. Ken made the decision to have his body donated to the University of MN, School of Medicine. Service TBD. Ken, a man amongst men. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to family, Sue Steuernagel, 13552 279th Street, Lindstrom, MN 55045.

Ken was a wonderful man. I always looked forward to talking to him...even if it was only to say hi in passing in the hall. There isn't a day that I don't think of him while I am working.

I want to say thank you to his family for sharing him with us. He was a bright spot. He never complained and always had a smile...even though we could see he wasn't feeling well.
