Kermit WOLD Obituary

Age 98, died May 11, 2015 Preceded in death by wife Ellen, siblings Adrian, Shirley, Margaret, Juel, Evelyn, and Alice. Survived by sister Helen Swanson, sister-in-law Violet Wold (Juel); daughter Mary Ellen (Cecil) Foster, sons John (Gail), Kermit (Chris) and Greg (Barb); grandchildren Matthew, Rachel, Daniel, Kate, Mary; great-grandchildren Jessica, Jordan, Cloe. Kermit was born and raised in Grygla, MN. Kermit and Ellen met while doing war time jobs at Northwest Airlines. After the war Kermit had a long and successful career in sales and retired from Prudential Insurance in 1978. Kermit and Ellen kept a busy social life with their family and many friends. Weekends often spent at their Pelican Lake cabin "up north". Winters were spent at their FL retirement home where Kermit became a proficient golfer. In 2006 Kermit made a graceful transition to living at Presbyterian Homes in Inver Grove Heights where he continued to enjoy friends, family and an occasional Manhattan. A memorial service will be announced later.

We are saddened at Uuncle Kermit's passing. He was always a gentleman, pleasant, affable and very intelligent. We spent many wonderful moments with him in Minnesota and Florida. He will be missed, yet fondly remembered in our prayers, until we meet him again in the Lord.
