Tishia was head strong from day one. Our mother was in the hospital while I was in college at the Univerity of Minnesota. Tishia was in grade school and it was winter. After dinner and homework done, I told Tishia to take a bath before bed. She promptly told me, "I will take a bath in the morning". I told her again and she was even more adamant about taking a bath in the morning before school. I eventually called my mother in the hospital and told her the story. My mother was absolutely shocked by me not taking a heavy hand with my baby sister. Well, I told Tishia I had talked to mom. And, I gave her one more chance to do as I had asked, to take her bath. I have to admit I was completely surprised by her unwillingness to comply with my request. Well, I marched up the stairs, spanked her little butt and demanded she get in the bathtub. That was the last time I spanked my little sister. She didn't realize how much of our mother was in me. I have many days when I talk to my little sister about stupid stuff and I laugh to myself.

I am so sad that you left us but am comforted knowing you stepped into eternity and into the arms of Jesus, grandma, grandpa, and all the other loved ones who have gone before us. No more pain, no more tears, only unimaginable love.
