This is really sad...Laurie was one of the good guys... I swam with her in college. My favorite memory was a end-of-year party in '92: a bunch of us swimmers partied till 1 or 2 AM...after which Laurie and I walked a few miles to a local burger joint (Flameburger's) and literally talked till dawn...she was fun, warm & caring with a huge heart...it was a great night. Definitely sad news.

I was saddened to hear the news of Laurie's passing. It's been a long time since I've known Laurie, but I have many fond memories of her from grade school through high school. My younger sister Megan and I would have double sleepovers with Laurie and Beth Ann that consisted of open swim at Chippewa, pizza, and games. I'll always remember Laurie as a kind-hearted, sweet and gentle person. I'm sure she's touched many lives over the years. Blessings to her family and friends during this time of grief and healing.

I started at West a few months after Laurie. While we have both gone on to different jobs in the company we would still talk periodically. We will miss her sunny personality. God bless and keep you in this time of sorrow.

I've known Laurie for 8 years since working at Thomson-West. The last couple of years she gave me her time to teach me the finer points of swimming. I give my condolences to her family and friends. Scott Nugent

I am so shocked by the loss of such a fantastic life-loving person. Laurie will indeed be greatly missed. I revelled in her positive life-loving way of living. She was always friendly and always had words of encouragement. I worked with Laurie in Customer and Technical support at West before we both moved onto other jobs. She was a fantastic teacher and mentor and I will certainly miss having her around. My heart goes out to those related to her and to those that had the pleasure of knowing her.
