I will never forget Col Wollmering. I was operations clerk at the US Military Police Station, from 1962 - 1965. I went to buy a car
while serving under Capt Wollmering. A friend of mine was going to co-sign for a loan for me to purchase the car, found out he had too many liabilities. The Capt said to me Harris if you want to buy that car, I'll co-sign for you. He drove me over to HFC and co-signed for a $500.00 loan. I never forgot the trust he had in me to repay the loan. RIP Captain Wollmering.
