Larry and I worked at Union Carbide, later, Genex, for many years. One day, after he got divorced from his Wife, I noticed him dumping boxes of something into the dumpster, at work. After he left the area, I went over to see what he dumped. It was boxes of old slides, from his service in the U.S. Army, in South Vietnam. Something told me to fish them out, and save them. For What? I wasn't sure. I always planned to find a projector, or other viewing device, and look at the slides, but that never happened. Many years later; Probably 35 years, or more, both of us were retired; I in Wisconsin, and I found him, in North Branch, and I returned his slides. He seemed to be happy, but I almost did it more, for his children, who might have questions about his life, before they were born. He was losing his hearing, and I sensed that he was withdrawing from the World. I called him a few more times, but it was hard to communicate, so I left him be. Tonight, I wondered about him, and typed in his name. I'm sorry I didn't get in touch with him, before he died, but that is Life. Sail on, Larry.
