Lionel was very gracious to our family at all times. He helped my father obtain veterans' benefits and was happy to do so.

What a fine man!

Dear Stan & Bea, Renni & Danny, Neal & Frank,

You are so much in my thoughts. I am thinking about how difficult it must be to lose both your parents in so short a time. Over the many years, your dad was often kind and very helpful to me and my family. I will miss the Saints - Vikings wagers we used to make with each other. Your dad hated to send me $5.00 every time the Saints won!

I love you all.

I appreciated knowing Lionel in his activities with the EXPOWs. I enjoyed his company to various military memorial programs and POW Chapter meetings. I will miss him.

We loved getting to know your dad at Sholom Home in St. Paul. My mother is a resident there and we got to know your dad very well at the Happy Hours on Thursday afternoons. He was an avid reader and would share his books with me. He was so full of life and we hated to see him leave Sholom. He always spoke so lovingly of Myra and was so sad to have her gone.
Our condolences to your entire family.

Mr Greenberg was one of 'my guys' at the VA Dental Clinic. So charming and a true hero. Being a Prisoner of War, he had a lot to tell me about his days in WWII. I will cherish memories of him. He was wonderful when my Dad passed away 20 years ago. Very much the consummate 'gentle' man. My sympathies to his family. It is so hard to lose a parent. I was the receptionist in Dental for over 20 years.

Faye and i wish to express our sympathies to the family of Lionel, who was a good friend from 1973 (when we first met) until his passing. I (Karl) will always remember Lionel's willlingness to help others. He was my co-worker and friend. Our offices were next to each other for many years. There are many good experiences that would take more space than available here. He was a good man.
