Louis Vaillancourt Obituary

- Vaillancourt, Louis A. Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ June 18, 1945 - Sept 4, 2004 Louis Vaillancourt was born in St. Paul, first of nine children, to Beecher and Mary Ann Vaillancourt. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1963, and married Dee Henderson in 1964. They had two children, Stacy (Matthew) Glocke and Robert (Nancy) Vaillancourt. He worked as a salesman with New York Life for fifteen years. The Lord Jesus Christ called him to be His child in 1973, after losing his wife through divorce. Louis dedicated his life fully to Jesus on March 4, 1974, and began his life-long passion of introducing people to His Savior. He married Susan Kiecker Easton on June 29, 1977, and her daughter, Dawn Ellsworth was added to his family. Louis was ordained into the ministry by Jesus People Church, and God used them to found Church of Acts in October 1979. God blessed them with four more beautiful children, Matthew, Paul (Kristi), Charity and John Vaillancourt. They were about to celebrate their 25th year with the Church of Acts when the Lord called him to a greater work in Glory, September 4, 2004, after a three-month struggle with cancer. Louis is survived by his wife, Susan, his 7 children, 11 grandchildren, 7 brothers and sisters, and many extended family. Joining him at the Banqueting Table will be countless precious souls who have found Life through Jesus Christ by Pastor Louis' bold witness and Gospel tract ministry. Memorials may be given to Church of Acts for Pastor Louie's most beloved outreach, the Thanksgiving Ham and Turkey Give-away. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?.'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!' Romans 10:14-15 Visitation 4-8 PM WEDNESDAY, Sept 8 at MUELLER PARKWAY CHAPEL, 835 Johnson Pkwy @ E. 7th, also visitation 1 hr before service at church. Funeral service 11 AM THURSDAY, Sept 9 at REDEEMING LOVE CHURCH, 2425 White Bear Ave. Family interment Union Cemetery.

When I think of Pastor Louie - I get the word courage - the state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger with self-possession, confidence, and resolution: bravery;heart and valiant - possessing or displaying valor;marked by or done with valor. Pastor Louie never drew back in the ministry - he never talked to anyone without offerning them Christ - either through words or leaving them a tract even while on vacation. There was no vacation from his work for Christ. We love you all.

I am sending my love to the family with warmest thoughts. Since I have died and gone to Heaven and have had a tour of Heaven, I know where Brother Louis is. He is in the presence of Jesus and his heavenly Father God Almighty. And, seeing his loved ones. Moreover, as David said in the Word when his son died, "He cannot come to me but I can go to him." We are grateful for the faithfulness of Louie's Divine call on his life and how he impacted so many for the Kingdom of God. His testimony in tract form, 'From the Bud, to the Blood' is tremendous. We will always remember his friendship and genuine compassion for the people God put in his charge to care for. He is greatly missed, but will never be forgotten by so many.

In a world filled with wanna be's and hucksters, Pastor Louie was the Real McCoy. If it can be said "here was a true man of God" it would have to be said about Louie. This world was enriched by his presence, humbled by his humility, graced by his peace and is at a loss with his loss. He surely will be missed.
