Mark was a co-worker, classmate, union brother & fishing buddy of mine. A great friend to me.

In memory of my dear big brother, Mark F Husnik. I will miss your smile, and contagious, happy-go-lucky laugh and matter-of-fact way... you never seemed to have a worry in the world, and were always confident you could figure out any mechanical problem or any problem, for that matter, and you could. You were brilliant, brother! I cannot thank you enough for all that you did for me throughout my life. You were always there willing to help at the times that meant the most. Like when my car broke down in the middle of the winter and I was stranded and you came to help me, or when my furnace needed help, you were there. And, always with a can-do, happy attitude too. Although we did not spend a lot of time together when I was young, I felt blessed to be able to be able to be with you during your fight. It was so beautiful to me to have time together to share stories about our lives, talk about politics and world issues, and just share being analytical minds together. Thank you for being open and accepting of that. You had one of the biggest, most generous hearts of anyone I know and you will be sorely missed, words cannot say. It feels just too soon to say goodbye, but I pray you are soaring in heaven above with dad and many more loved ones. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers forever, brother... with love always.

I would like to light a candle today, and everyday, for you dear brother. You have been a very special person in my life. We were very close and we were good friends. We shared a lot of time together and I will always cherish those moments, big and small. I am saddened by your illness and fate but know there's relief in me knowing you will suffer no longer. Thank you for always being there for me. I will miss you dearly. Life isn't going to be the same without you. I know your listening and I hope you find peace in heaven with Dad and the friends that have gone before you.
Love you brother!
Love, light & peace until we meet again...

Mark aka Gark aka Wolfman. What can I say about him. I loved him. He could fix anything, and could twizzle a toothpick in his mouth the same way Grandpa could. He was passionate about politics, could definitely hold his own in a pack of Husniks, and was among my top influencers in my life growing up. I learned that the only way a problem can beat you, is if you give up. He never gave up. He was kind, patient with us kids (who constantly broke everything he fixed), and he always had something motorized for us to wear down. Yet he was always there to gas up the next motor bike or fix the snowmobile we ground to a halt. He was a great shot with a rifle and shotgun, but preferred 410 over 12ga, always told me 12ga was to much gun for a grouse. Mark loved to fish, hunt, bonfire, and work on the farm and his house up north. Mark and My dad were like political opposites, but BEST of FRIENDS. They would argue until they both agreed or suddenly cause each-other to start laughing, which happened often. I loved how Mark never gave up his points, which were often very solid. It was contagious. His sense of humor, attitude, and uncanny wit were the forge of my personality and are parts of my character today. I love my uncle Mark and will miss him dearly! I credit at least part of my success in life to him. I will never forget him.
