Mary SKINNER Obituary

August 13, 1933 — July 9, 2022 Our dear Oma passed away suddenly during a perfect day. Preceded in death by parents Ernest & Marguerite (née Payant) Goulet; sister Jean (Chris) Willems; brothers Bud & John (Donna) Goulet; and sister-in-law Darnell Goulet. Survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Harry; brother Allan (Mary) Goulet; sister Susan (Joe) Eschenbacher; children Paul, David (Laurie), Sally (Richard) Winecke, Peter (Molly), Nick (Julie); 11 grandchildren, 7 great grand- children and many nieces and nephews. Mary lived her life with a strong faith in God. Graduated from Nativity grade school, Derham Hall HS (salutatorian, '51), College of St. Catherine (pres. of senior class, Phi Beta Kappa in Chemistry, '55), U of MN (Masters in Biochemistry, '60). Mary had a very active life. She enjoyed camping, swimming, biking, gardening, helping the less fortunate (Meals on Wheels for 45 years) and especially loved spending summers at the lake home with her children. She was kind, thoughtful and giving to a fault. She never wanted recognition for all she did. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed dearly. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Saturday, July 23 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Stanford @ Prior Aves, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Mass will be livestreamed, https://nativitystpaul.org/online-liturgies. A private burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cretin-Derham Hall or Meals on Wheels (Keystone). 651-698-0796

I got to know Mary through my employment with Harry. Mary was remarkable. Raising 5 (above average) children, her community involvement, her loyalty/friendship with gal pals and being married to Harry! :-)
My sympathy to Harry and the Skinner family for your loss. Mary will be missed, she will be remembered.

My deepest sympathies to All. I am so happy I got to see her just 2 days prior down at Skinner's Pub after lunch. We talked and laughed. Little did I know :-(. God Bless Mary Ann and the Skinner Family.

Dear Skinner family, I was so sorry to hear of Mary's death. Though am really glad her last day was so picture perfect. A blessing for her and also all of you.
I remember fondly carpooling weekly for years with her, as well as Sue and my mom to our bible studies. Enabled us to get to know each other beyond family get togethers. She was a funny and sweet soul! I am holding you all in my heart.
