Sharon, I am very sorry for your loss. I will miss talking to Matt at all the tournaments and enjoyed seeing you and him in Reno last year. Matt did so much for me while I was the CBA tournament director that it made my job easier. I always enjoyed his company.

I certainly hope that the Bowling Councils in Minnesota found the time to give Mr. Matt Lang the recognitition he surely deserved. From what I have read it wasn't like him to seek any gratitude, however, it is that type of person that really welcomes a pat on the back.

Dear Sharon and Family,
My sympathies to all of you. Matt was a friend to so many people, mostly bowlers, me included. He helped me immensely on various projects with youth bowlers, the Minnesota Bowling Council, Jamborees with our annual photos, oh the list goes on and on...So, until we meet on the bowling lanes in heaven where I just know you will be managing some type of tournament or event, I will miss you, my dear friend!

Condolences to the family from ALL the Wittman family. I personally knew Matt through bowling as so many others did. I bowled the National tournament with his group from St. Paul and we met in quite a few cities over the years. Mix that with us sharing service at the National level and there was a real bond created. Matt was always fun to be with and will be missed by so many. RIP Matt.

Sharon and Family,
Heaven has just gained another angel. Now we all have to really listen for all of his strikes during the storms and tell Matt that we do hear him up there. Matt was a one of a kind guy who always had to stop and chat at the lanes, he surely will be missed by so many who knew him and who heard his jokes and see his smile.

Matt will be remembered forever. He was one of the 'rocks' that solidified St. Paul and Minnesota bowling over his lifetime. He was a steadfast supporter of bowling, a dedicated father, grandfather and husband, and a cherished friend to everyone he met. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. We are fortunate he touched our lives in many ways. Rest in peace, Matt. One day we will all be together again 'striking' up a storm!
