To the Family of Mel. I am so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I had hoped that he would be around for our next class reunion. He was a wonderful person and I am sure a great husband and father. He is now in a better place and reunited with your mom and his parents.
I will let all our classmates know.
God bless you and your family and keep you ever in his care.
If you would like to send a note to our classmates you may send it to me &I will
relay it to our class at the reunion which is slated for 10-22-2010.

Thank you so much to all who leave your kind words here!! For those of you who didn't know, my dad suffered with Parkinson's disease and dimentia for the past 14 years. He was taken from us on December 12th, 2009 and was reunited with our mother that day!! We praise God for all of the wonderful times we had together as a family; they were the best parents to have growing up! We appreciate all the loving and caring words you leave here and thank you for your prayers!!

Dear Julie, Richie and family,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to your dear people. We have such great memories of your Dad, Mom and both of you at Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School. Those were very special years!
You were raised as a wonderful Christian family! Your Dad was always ready and willing to help at Gethsemane-same for your dear Mom. Cherish all of the awesome memories that you have of your parents and keep the memories alive with their grandchildren. Now Mel and Carol are both in heaven with Jesus!
Love from Dave and Carol Dittberner

Dear Julie and Richie,
I was so sad to hear of the loss of your dad. He and your mom touched our lives when our children were growing up. I remember them worshipping regularly, your dad working on sound and ushering at Gethsemane. Our love to you, Jack and Joanne Revoir

My sympathies to your family. Mel was a coworker at Ramsey. I knew Mel to be a kind and gentle man, with a drive to do the right thing, and do it well. In my mind's eye, I see him walking away, coffee cup in hand, down the hall....into the hands of God. I pray that God lifts you up and carries you through this time.

To the family of Mel ... please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We remember him from the many years we were members of Gethsemane as being such a kind and gentle person. How comforting to know that he is reunited with Carol now. Many people have been blessed to know both your mom and dad. They touched many a life ... including ours. May God send his special angels to surround you, bringing you peace, warmth, and love at this difficult time. Blessings ...
