My condolences to your family. I recently sent an email to Michael regarding my husband's comic collection and did not receive a reply. When I checked Michael on the computer I learned that he passed away a few years after my husband. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and know your pain. Michael and my husband, Raymond True, were lovers of Classic Comics.

I saw a great movie the other day. I wanted to call my good friend/colleague Mike Berkus. That's what we used to do. Often we went to movies together... Then we would talk about them. Talking about them was even better than the movie itself.... RIP, Mike. You are gone, but never forgotten... Bernie Fratto

Mike was very good friend to my late father.
He spoke with such pride of Nate. My dad became a huge fan of yours. My father got genuine pleasure from listening to your dad's memories and following g your show.

In remembrance of Michael Berkus, dad to the TV personality and designer, Nate Berkus. The wedding photo of a loving father with his son is now a priceless memory. Thank you for sharing that with the public, Nate. I light a candle to send thoughts of comfort and God's peace to all who mourn the loss of Mr.Berkus.

I met Mike many yrs ago in the baseball card hobby.Mike was a local heavyweight in the hobby. We started a small local club of collectors and occasionally met at peoples homes to trade and kibitz. Mike, hosted a few of these gatherings in his home and supplied a generous spread of Deli-delights.While @ his home,Mike would share some of the rare collectibles he owned.I remember that he had an unopened box of 1955 Bowmans. He was a great man and I am sad of his passing.

In addition to being friends for 32 years, Mike and I were also business associates. I've never met a quicker wit, backed by common sense and a bright mind. You always wanted to be around Mike. He wasn't just the life of the party, he was the party. His spirit lives on as I have the great benefit of replaying many of our thought provoking conversations in my mind throughout our travels, literally and figuratively. RIP my man...And please say hi to Mickey Mantle for me...

Mike Came to my office in 1994 because he saw an opportunity with my company (Score Board inc.) A month after he was hired as a consultant, my father, the Chairman and CEO died unexpectedly. I immediately hired Mike as my Sr. Vice President and we worked closely together for two years. I remember taking Mike out for his 50th birthday and saying 'This is the coolest old guy I ever met' ( I was 30). Mike was funny, creative, and had a positive attitude and was a great optimist, which we all needed at that time. 17 Years later when I was starting a new business I called for his advice....it was "Call the company Goldin Auctions". He taught me a lot and will be missed.

mike and his family were lifelong friends with myself, and my family. my mom liked his middle name so much ,she gave me the same one. mike gave me an opportunity for 11 years to work with his business, operate the dancing waters show at the disney hotel, buy and sell old records, and many other things. mike was much more like a brother to me. i will miss him always. rest in peace buddy
