Dear John and Lindsey

Your love for one another is inspirational. Through these last few days I've been touched by your strength and fortitude. Although Mikey was here for too short a time, it is apparent how deeply he knew he was loved. May you find the courage to go on knowing that Mikey remains with you - simply look into one another's eyes.
We love you.

How heavy ones heart can be when faced by something so unimagineable, so deep with pain. I do not even guess to know the depth of your hurt and sadness right now. I can only pray that through time and the love of your family you will find strength to face each day with the knowledge that Mikey touched so many lives with his smile and love. I am so very sorry for your loss. Dan and I will hold you all close to our hearts and pray that each day you will find the strength needed to face such an unbelievable loss. Take care and take heart that God has a plan for Mikey that was bigger than his time on earth. You will all meet again in time. Much love to hold you and keep you during this most difficult time.

Lindsey and John - you are such loving parents. I never saw Mikey without a smile on his face, especially when he was playing ball with his Dad, or running down the sidewalk with his Mom. Swinging his light saber, climbing with Bobby in the backyard, helping to herd Emily, and Honey. He was sunshine, and I am so terribly sad that he's not here. I feel priviledged to have known him, and to know you all. love, Patti

To the Clayton family,
When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, we always question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache can compare with the death of one small child, who does so much to make the world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires-always calling the aged to His fold, and so He picks a rosebud before it can grow. God knows how much we need them and so He picks but few! To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. “Believing this is difficult”, yet somehow we must try, for the saddest word that mankind knows will always be "goodbye". And so when little ones depart we who are left behind, must realize how much God loves children...for angels are hard to find. I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son.
