When I awoke this morning, the memories of Mike were racing through my head, as they have since Wednesday. My sister-inlaw told me of Mikes passing, when we were in Orlando for a meeting., that afternoon.
I met Mike because of our mutual friends. Mike Bastian, Tim & Tom Paskvan, Mike and I shared many experiences in our youth, to say the least. We were on our path from our youth to becoming young adults. As our paths zigged and zagged, I knew Mike, as a good friend, who always willing and able to help me. I hope that I was able to help him in return. That path to adulthood had many crossroads and took a turn when I met my future love, my wife Debbie. My physical relationship with Mike was ending, but my memories remained intact. In Mike's way his goodness and loyalty were very evident to me. I last spoke to Mike when I told him of the Paskvan's father, George' s funeral services. We had a good visit bragging about our children as all proud parents do. We agreed that we should get together again, but time and places kept us apart.
I will always remember Mike, and I believe in my heart he lived a good life. I will miss him.
