Michael Patrick WALSH

Of Mora, formerly of St. Paul Mike was born on February 23, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Earl and Hildegard Walsh. He grew up on the East Side of St. Paul, attended Sacred Heart grade school and graduated from St. Bernard's High School. He and his wife Jane moved to River Falls, Wisconsin where they raised their daughters. Mike graduated from UWRF and had a long career teaching 4th and 6th grade; first in River Falls, WI and then in Mora, MN, until he retired in 2006. He continued into his retirement working in neighboring communities as an Appraiser. Mike was preceded in death by his wife Jane Walsh, his parents Hildegard and Earl Walsh, brother Jack Walsh, and his sister Darlene O'Shaughnessy. Mike is survived by his children Colleen (Paul) Matschi and Mary (Brett) Wahl, his grandchildren Danielle, Samantha (Carl), Chase (Adrianna), Sarah (Davis) and Allison (Troy), his siblings Donna Grady, Tom (Jeanette) Walsh, Maureen (Mike) Hessler, Greg Walsh, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was forever grateful for the love and support he received from his community. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. www.aifuneralhome.com
