Age 85 Of St. Paul Passed away on Oct. 27, 2012, at Madonna Living Center, Rochester, MN. Born in St. Paul, Mort was the youngest of 5 children. He married his childhood sweetheart Vivian Lee Sinykin. Mort was a WWII Veteran who sold jewelry with his brothers Morrie and Howie at Rogers Jewelers, downtown. He nurtured his employees and his compassion was well known. Mort was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; brothers, Nate, Morrie, Howie; and sister, Ruth. Mort worked hard and loved life, he loved fishing, boating and cars. Mort is survived by son, Ron Blair Geller and wife Lisa; daughter, Lori Lynn Geller; partner, Doris Olmchenk; nieces and nephew, and his large and loving extended families. I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Geller's passing. My parents did business with Rogers Jewelers when I was a child and I continued to do business with Mort Geller until I recently went to his store and was saddened to see it no longer there. I will always remember the everlasting smile and the kind words he had for my parents and how he came to know my family and always asked how my children were doing. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mort had added my wedding set to my mother's ring with my father's 32nd Degree Mason diamond and the stone my husband had brought back from his business trip from South Africa. I stopped in 7 or 8 times to tell him how many compliments I continued getting on it. It is beautiful and I feel I have my mother, father and husband with me and everytime I look at it I always think of Mort. He was very kind and gracious and I will miss him. He had moved to the bldg. that I had had my business in. He will be greatly missed. He had also replaced a cracked pearl in a ring that my husband had brought me from Japan. He will always be blessed by me.

Of the handful of 'ONE OF A KINDS' that one meets in a lifetime, Mort was on top of the list! For the past eleven years Mort has been the best pretend father-in-law a girl could have. A kind, compassionate and generous man, I will miss him greatly and cherish his memory. My deepest condolences to all the Gellers and Olmschenks who loved him dearly. Love You Morty-Luigi

Uncle Mort-a class act with a clown humor and twinkle in his eye each time he tickled your funny bone. May he return to his loved ones in peace, and may those left behind be comforted with their memories. The world is a better place for his presence.
