Vonnie~~~
My heart aches for your sadness. I can appreciate all the loss and pain you must be feeling, and I am so sorry.
For your sake, I hope your children and grands live in your general area. I have been living in Orlando not far from my daughter and her family since my dear Bill died 11 years ago. I still miss him a lot, and I miss the rest of my family and friends back in Minnesota. I read parts of the St.Paul paper on line all the time, especially the obits, where there often is someone I know, like your nice Oscar.
Please know that I am thinking about you and your family. This comes with my tears and prayers. Blessings on you all.
With love,

Vonnie: My sincere sympathy to you and your family...
June and I have known you and Oscar for all of our 51+ years with Redeemer.
I recall in the early days when you and Oscar occupied a pew just in front of us for Sunday services in the Sanctuary.
I also recall that the two of you celebrated your 50th marriage anniversary just days apart from June and Mine.
I will miss Oscar both at the Redeemer Services as well as at Bible Study on Tuesday mornings...Although of course I know that recently Oscar was absent from Redeemer Activities because of his health.
What a coincidence that Oscar's services will be on the very day of the 1st anniversary of June's passing last October 2008.
I am sure that June will be in the greeting party when Oscar arrives at his heavenly home!
John 14:2 (KJV): "in my father's house are many mansions...I go to prepare a place for you..."

I'm so sorry for your loss. Many years ago, our family lived next door to Oscar & Vonnie on Rice Creek Rd. I babysat a few times for one of your baby boys. Both of my parents, Len & Ethel Grassini, are gone now as is my brother, Mike. We're never really ready for our destiny. The best thing is to keep your mind and heart on your memories of the good times. As a widow myself, I can tell you that helps. God bless.
