Patricia MASLOW Obituary

Age 88, of St. Paul Died on October 25, 2022 Pat was a devoted Catholic, homemaker, and in her younger years, a secretary. She was married to her husband Dan for almost 50 years. The last years of their marriage were particularly sweet as their love and care for one another deepened. God and her Catholic faith were at the center of her life. She was a Third Order Carmelite. Every day she would say the Rosary and pray for the needs of people who were suffering or who needed God in their lives. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved music, reading, and sending cards/writing letters to her family and friends. When she was younger, she sang in a choir, played the piano, and went bowling and dancing. When she went into hospice and her health was failing, her joy, peace, gratitude, and sense of humor grew immensely. She enjoyed even more all the little joys in life like a beautiful sunset. The Hospice caregivers would comment that they loved to come and see her, describing her as the most happy and joyful person they visited. One example of her sense of humor was the loud belly laugh she would have when her daughter would vocally impersonate public figures. Her favorite Bible verse in hospice was 2Cor 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Being unable to go to Mass in person, she daily watched the Mass online, having a deep devotion to the Eucharist. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel and her grandson, Alex. Survived by sons, Mike (Kathy), Tom (Tonia) and Steve (Ginny); daughters, Mary (Tom) and Ann (Rick); siblings, Bob, Larry and MaryAnn Burke & 30 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 2, with Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 548 Lafond Ave., St. Paul. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery will be private and take place at a later date. 651-631-2727
