I was saddened and shocked to hear of Br. Paul's passing last week. I've known him for about 5 years and in that time I'll always remember my visits to the Brothers' friary in St. Paul and meals with Br. Paul and the other Brothers. I also got to travel to Washington, DC with Br. Paul three times for the March for Life and National Right to Life Convention. Br. Paul also came to Jacksonville in 2011 when NRLC was held here. At the conferences, I saw his pro-life talks. He was a great champion of the pro-life movement and I know his community will carry on his legacy very well. Rest in peace, Br. Paul!

Because of his gentle and caring spirit, God did not want him to ever suffer in death so took him in his sleep. He will continue to lead us in the pro-life movement from heaven above as God's messenger by how he lived on earth. He will be greatly missed but we were blessed to have him as a leader of the pro-life for so many years. We must now follow his lead and continue his mission. My condolences to all his fellow brothers, family and friends,

I first met Bro. Paul when they first started out in their ministry at St. Therese Parish, in 1985? They added a deep spirituality to the masses there. Bro. Michael and I were classmates at St. Thomas Acad., so I know him already. I remember how much he cared for Bro . Michael after his tragic illness. He also was such a dedicated leader of the novitiate at St. Columba. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to you . Jim Bisanz

Br. Paul was an activist for Life, early in his high school years, in Omaha. We were pleased to know him, pray, council, and join him in sit-ins, at abortion mill. And see how his passion to cooperate with God's calling to the brotherhood and to striving to save human life, born and unborn. May God rest your soul Fr. Paul.

I love that Brother O'Donnell and Dr. Jack Willke both went home to Jesus the very dame day. What a glorious welcome that must surely be! "Well done thou good and faithful servant". Like Dr. Willke, he left a gigantic imprint on the conscience of this nation.

In the very early years Paul and I had loving conversations about CARMEL vs Francis. He wore our scapular under Francis habit. Double coverage! Strong man of God. Taught many to be brave about LIFE. God reward you, Paul and Michael both, by keeping your community Faithful to the Rule until the end of time. He is busy in heaven already, as I just committed to more Pro Life work, not knowing he had passed, and wondered where that came from. Go, Paul! I sense his mission continues, including that effervescent smile. Blessings always.
