I’ll never forget my good friend Peter. We had been friends for most our lives since mid grade school. We shared so many great times together. He was the truest friend anyone could hope to have, and he came from wonderful parents and two great sisters. It was a privilege to know them.

Dear Barb and Family'
I am comforted by the many happy memories generated by the Legacy remembrance of Pete. I hope it brings you special joy. Myriad recollections of IM and the "Class of 38" emerged in sharp focus! I had not recalled that Pete left us on another less sobering date on the calendar - my April 12 birthday!
I wish you good health and the comfort of family and faith at Easter and during this time of great stress around the globe.
Love from
Bev and Don

A wonderful life long friend. I first met Peter on a Selby/Lake street car in 1946. We were both headed to the St. Paul Athletic Club for Saturday morning swimming and gym classes. Every Saturday we would seem to get on the same street car and thats how a great friendship began and continued throughout our lifetime. I will always remember Pete as a dear friend and one that I will remember always. My continued blessings to you Barb and your wonderful family. God bless you all.

Pete,
Had the personality that could always make me laugh! And I had a lot of them during the day's Multifoods and the many "Skits" we put on for sales meetings. They also brought our families together for fun times.
"A GREAT GUY!"

Katie, Mrs. Redpath and the rest of the family. I was just thinking of the "meanest man on the block' not to long ago. I was sharing with some of my friends, my best child hood memories and growing up in New Ulm with the Redpaths. Just know your dad is up in heaven with my dad. I'm sure they are having a great time reconnecting. At least we know they are no longer suffering. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lisa Kemp.

Dear Barb and Family

That laugh and that twinkle in his eye belonged to a wonderful guy! I am deeply saddened that IM's "Class of '38" has lost our dear Peter - a treasured friend and colleague of immense talent and great heart.

Pete was well loved and will long be remembered by a legion of friends and fans. Don and I are distressed that we returned to the US too late to attend and support you at today's service.

You and your family are in our prayers, Barb. We will be in touch.

Our condolences to Barb and family.

When one remembers a dear friend, adjectives like warm, caring, genuine, Christian, are often used. But with Peter, they were more than just words. They were truly the essence of what made Peter a very special person.

Pete was one of the many, in the Cretin class of '56, that we admired (we are from the class of '59). We feel privileged to have and use him as a role model. We tracked and admired Pete from a distance in his career. Pinky and I were pleased to have talked with you, Barb, and Pete, at our grandson's basketball game a few years ago. We regret that we cannot be there to see you and our wonderful friend and high school classmate, Kathy Redpath. Take comfort in the many words of sympathy, wonderful memories and the friends and relatives who care.

April 13, 2012

Dear Barb and Family. Please accept my deepest sympathy of the death of Peter. Peter and I go back so many years as friends and so many great memories. It all started on the Selby Lake streetcar when we first met going to the St. Paul Athletic Club on a Saturday morning. Pete met me in the back of the streetcar where it was usually just the older men who smoked, but we both felt like big shots (at the ages of 9 and 10) standinb back there with them. We talked about those time often, and many other wonderful experiences we shared over many years. I will miss Pete a lot, but he is now at peace in a far better place than any of us can imagine. My prayers are with Pete and with all of you at this time.

What a great guy to have known in my life. Peter was always smiling, friendly, open, a helper, caring, ....the list goes on. He was a pleasure to be with.

He was a leader in our Cretin days, and a Mr. Tommy in our St. Thomas college days.

He was a great friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Sympathies and prayers to all the family.

RIP, Peter!
