Phyllis MATSCH Obituary

Age 73 of West St. Paul, passed away surrounded by family on April 10th, 2018. Phyllis spent more than 30 years as a physical education teacher in the Rosemount School District. She was an independent, hard working and dedicated mother who knew what she wanted in life. She was a schnauzer fanatic, and a big fan of the Minnesota Twins. She is preceded in death by her older brother, Bradley; and parents, Phila and Larry. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Faith (Michael) and Jewel (Nathaniel); son, Adam; grandchildren, Gabriel and Autumn; long time friend, Mary Kay; and beloved schnauzer, Coco. In her honor, a Celebration of Life will be held in the next few weeks, details to follow.

I have been friends with Phyllis Starting when we went to Kindergarden. We lived a couple blocks away in Hastings. Then my parents moved to Hampton. I never got to see her til I went to Hastings middle school fof 7th 8th & 9 grade and we were seeing each other again. Then High School. Then I lived in Rosemount after Graduated and I got married and had t Children. so they had needed swimming lessons and look who helped me get them in for swimming. My friend Phyllis was a phyed teacher in Rosemount Middle school. then She came to our 50th class reunion. I got to join her there. She was a very nice person. Great friend. Phyllis, We were great friends in kindergarten and then we moved to another town. When Attended the 9th grade in Hastings we meet again. We graduated in i962. never seen you. then my kids were signed up for swim classes and I got to see you again in Rosemount. Then I got to see you again at our 50th class reunion. I was so happy you had come. we had a great time there. Then you left us to go to heaven. So sorry but you are in a better place. Miss you. I think about you at times.

I want to Tell her Beautiful Children That I am so sorry for your Loss. Your Mother was a very caring person. I went to Kindergarten & High School with your Mom. Last time I got to see her was our 50th class reunion. She had 1 of her beautiful daughters with her. we had a great time. We graduated in 1962. She will be missed. She loved her Children very much. So sad that she is gone, but she is in a great place.

I am so sorry for your loss, To her beautiful Children. I met one of her Daughters at our 50th Class reunion. We had a great time. & one of Phyllis's beautiful Daughters was there. & she showed me pictures of her other two children, They were beautiful also. I went to Kindergarten with Phyllis & Then again in 9th threw 12th. Phyllis was a very special gal She was so kind and gentle person. She got my 2 little boys in to the swimming classes for 2 years. I will truly miss her. Such a caring person. We graduated in 1962 from Hastings High School.

Dear Family,
So sorry for your loss of Phyllis, she was amazing . You included me in your family on holidays and I was able to get to know her. What a great Mom and friend, may she RIP . No more pain and suffering. She will guide each of you as she is now your angel. Keep her memories alive in your hearts.

Dear Faith, Adam, Jewel, and Mary Kay...So many wonderful memories camping at state parks and up in Alexandria with Phyllis and all of you. Getting together many New Year's Eves playing games and shooting fireworks and staying overnight! We had so much fun! Rest in peace Phyllis
