Richard FRIEDGES Obituary

Age 78 of Woodbury Formerly of Roseville and New Market Passed away on March 26th, 2022 from a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by loving wife Kay; daughter Tammy; parents Joe and May (Hron) Friedges; siblings Dave, Donna Kerber, Ray, Jim; in-laws Bob Cervenka, Fred Kerber, Jeanne. Survived by his children Cindy (Kevin) Alstad, Don (Bella), Lori (Steve Rositzki), Billie Jo "BJ" (Mark Navarro), Bob (Jen); siblings Shirley Cervenka, Jackie (Joe) Franek, Joe (Deanna); in-laws Madalen, Donna; aunts LaQuita (Waldo) Rolf and Melva (Jack) Carson; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grand children and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rich worked for Johnson Bros Liquor Distributors for over 30 years retiring in July 2007 and was a member of Teamsters 792. He enjoyed fishing with his family especially the annual Lake of the Woods ice fishing event. He was a nature lover and always feeding the deer, birds, squirrels and any other creatures that happened by. Rich also enjoyed playing cards, from cribbage where his mathematical mind would instantly know what was in anyone's hand well before his opponent did, buck euchre, Texas hold'em or a variety of others. He enjoyed his monthly Wednesday luncheons with his buddies, and golf outings with his New Market area friends. Christian burial at Roselawn Cemetery 803 Larpenteur Ave in Roseville on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 10am visitation, 11am service.
