To all family and friends of Dick, I grew up on the same block as Dick in Roseville, and growing up I remember seeing two beautiful Ford Thunderbirds in his garage thinking some day I would like to own one of them. Thanks to Dick I was able to meet John whom I became very good friends with. I went to school with Bonnie and got to know Gordie and his family. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He truly was a great man and will be missed!

Connie, I was so surpised to hear of Dick's passing. I know of his acquaintence through school and graduated with him from Washington High School. He was always so neat as a pin and friendly. I can recall running into him at some of the car shows in downtown St. Paul. He will be missed. Sincerely sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Connie and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting you several times when you and Dick came into MaMas Pizza. I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Dick my entire life and have so many great memories, some I have even shared with you. I knew Dick was sick but he never let on to what extent. Connie, you and your children were the light in Dick's life. There are no words to adequately describe this man -- he was so special -- one of a kind. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I only knew Dick for a short time by life's standard, but during that time I felt as though we had been life long friends. He had that special gift, you know, the one only few people have naturally "Charisma". He was like a magnet when it came to people; you just felt warmly drawn to him. He was always more concerned about you than himself, even during his difficult battle. I will always cherish the opportunity I was given to know Dick and be a small part of his life. For me he was the strongest person mentally that I have ever known; he refused to give up, quit or say no during his illness. It wasn't a part of his character. The strength of his spirit was immeasurable. Dick, thanks for being you and letting me be your friend!!
The second strongest person I know is his wife, Connie. She was there with him and for him every step of the way, on that roller coaster through the ups and downs, sharing his joy and his pain and being his biggest support system. Her courage goes without saying. Dick and Connie not only loved each other, but were in love. My heart felt sympathy to my friend Connie, and Brianne, Tamara, Daniel, John and to Dick's and Connie's families for the loss of such a special human being.

I was a classmate of Dick for many years. I grew up just a block away from his home in Como Park and we graduated together from Washington High School.
Such a shock to learn of his death. He was always so much fun and so handsome. He got better looking with age! I am so sorry for your loss.
