1949 - 2019

Loving Father Age 69, of Woodbury, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Bob Bankers will be missed by family and friends. A loving father and business community leader who enjoyed a variety of activities. Bob's priority was always with family and he loved introducing his children to new adventures and some of his favorites included teaching them to fish, golf, ski and building construction. He showed his adventurous side in almost everything he thing he did including business entrepreneurial-ship, small plane piloting and travel. After college Bob completed Naval pilot training and with the Vietnam war ending he shifted gears to work on the oil rigs as a Geologist. He had a construction company in both Fargo, North Dakota and St. Paul, Minnesota. Bob most recently enjoyed working with the Woodbury Economic Commission, the Stillwater Historical Society and volunteering for various non-profit initiatives. Robert is survived by his children, Lyndsey and Michael Bankers; siblings, James (Dorothy) Bankers, Kim Bankers, Todd Bankers; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends whom will miss him dearly. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 5th 11:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens in North Dakota.
