ROBERT JOHN I. DONESA

March 1, 2025

Hi. My name is Robert John I. Donesa. My father Carlito Donesa from Dumangas, Iloilo. My father used to tell my I am named after one Mr. Robert John Hoyle who was his teacher in Iloilo and who was a Peace Corpse Volunteer. When Hoyle left the Philippines, he continuously sent my father money for his education, although it did not reach my father because our relative who worked in the post office pocketed it. When my father graduated College, Mr. Robert John Hoyle went to the Philippines to meet him, but my father was in Mindanao and so they were not able to meet. But my grandmother said Mr. Hoyle got my father's photo and brought it with him to Israel. He referred to my father as "My Carlito." When my father got married and have me as his second born, he called my "Robert John" to honor his favorite teacher. Also, in his applications for employment, he referred to himself as "Robert John Hoyle" scholar. I have been searching for Mr. Robert Joh Hoyle for years, thank God, I found this.
