I love you and miss you every day. I wish you could see our daughter thriving in her new career. She works where she was born and loves her job. She told me about the Thanksgiving baby she witnessed born today while she was working. We spoke so much about you and I when she was born. You loved her so much. We need you here so much. I hope you hear my prayers. You will never be forgotten.

You knew/know I don't believe in the after life, but sometimes I hope I'm wrong, and sometimes I think whenever you get a new entry on here, you get excited, and hope its from one of your kids. I know I would want that. If thats the case, sorry I have taken this long to reach out to you. Long story short, I really miss you, I miss your hugs, kisses, stories, watching you clean, your goofy voices, your clean truck, Sorel Boots, Angelos Pizza time (I still go every year on your Bday) Mountain Dews, your handwriting, your work ethic, your free throw shot, your love... Everything. I want you to know, I am not mad at you, I just miss you, and I know you knew this, but man did I love you, everyone did, was proud to call Bob Krohn my dad... Currently Sitting in my garage, all alone, just got done working out (11:04pm) stumbled upon this guest book and thought I would fill you in. I have great GF Erin, and she has a 3.5 year old Vivienne, they are so great, Vivvy lines up her shoes nice and neat :P, We have a almost 2 year old Golden Retriever named Lincoln, he sheds like crazy, but a lover, and a handful, I wish him and dash could run around together haha. Wish you could have had the chance to meet them, you would enjoy all three very much. I Just started a new job, its a huge learning curve, but I'm trying to grasp it the best I can, first job I have had that offered OVERTIME, and anytime they ask, I cant help but think, My dad would max out this OT every chance he could. Still working out a lot, I often think of you in the middle of a nasty workout and think about how hard you used to run Lake Phalen and push through the pain...or how much harder I would be pushing myself if I knew you were on the sidelines watching... it helps. Sometimes I think, "I wanna quit", and know you would push through, so I keep grinding... Thanks. Anyway, Everyone is doing pretty well to the best of my knowledge. I often think about how hard and confused you would be if you knew Donald Trump is our president, seriously I laugh out loud often at how confused you would be if I told you haha, it happens a lot actually, I will be sitting there and something will pop into my head and I will tell myself, I gotta tell dad this, and reality comes back into focus...I peer into every blue Silverado just hoping I get a glimpse of my dad...Maybe because to this day I don't want to fully accept your gone, I'm not sure... but it sucks, I want to tell you a lot of things Like... most importantly... the rest of Breaking Bad that you never got to see... was so good! so so so good :) wish we could have finished it together. In other news Twins suck this year, Vikings are doing well, and the wolves are TBD, and Urijah Faber is still awesome. Anyway, as I sit here writing this, tears running down my face... wishing for one more hug, one more kiss, one more phone call, One more cold mountain Dew, one more pizza... I will just instead remember the 1000s of Pizzas and Dews, 1000s of kisses, 1000s of hugs, that wont ever be forgotten. If/until we meet again...

I love you dad,

Cameron (11:54pm)

March 16, 2013

So sorry to hear the news about Bob. My thoughts and prayers are with the Krohn family. I have fond memories of Bob, playing basketball at Frost Lake gym. He always wanted to play, and would play until the gym closed. I think he took more pride in passing the ball to others, than scoring himself. He was know for the "no-look" passes to the open shooter. Another thing I always appreciated about Bob, is over the years we would run into each other at an event, he would go out of his way to tap me on the shoulder or stop for a friendly handshake. I really appreciated that and will carry on this act of kindness whenever I see friends. Rest in peace my friend!

March 12, 2013

First and foremost, may my thoughts be with the Krohn family.

I met Bob while working for the RCCF. My lasting impressions of Bob is that he would do anything for anybody. I can't count how many times Bob went above and beyond for his fellow Correctional Officers and inmates alike. What I came to learn is that Bob didn't go above and beyond, that was just the way he was. His qualities are a rarity in the correctional world and I know that he'll be missed by his family, but he'll be missed by his friends and those he served. We'll miss you Bob!

Mike Connolly

March 12, 2013

To my dear Friend Bob.
Where do I begin to quantify the quality of your friendship. I have learned and understood in many ways the content of your character. You knew how to bring a smile to someones`s face, while perhaps needing a smile yourself.Your ability to reach out and bring warmth to others were unique and priceless. You lived your life with charasmatic strength and principled dignity. Lend me your hand, and let me bring you to your feet were testimony to the quality of your being. In my world of friendships, how much of a tremendous void I feel. Now what is done is done, your earthly life has concluded, and I hope you have found your peace. The weight has been lifted, your spirit has risen ,and your eye`s are brightly shining, eternal life is yours.Keep a watch on me from above Bob,and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

We were so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. It feels like it was just yesterday that we were watching you grow up in the neighborhood on McAfee St. You would always run out your door and help me carry in my groceries. Our deepest sympathies to the Krohn Family.

March 5, 2013

My deepest sympathy to the Krohn family; I am so sad to hear of your loss. RCCF will never be the same again. Bob was one of the few C. O.'s to regularly visit the Men's Learning Center. He was always friendly, had a wonderful smile and a such a positive attitude. Bob and I had a common bond; it was work comp rotator cuff surgery. We ran into each other at P. T., and at work, we checked in with each other about progress. Some afternoons, Bob would yell down the hall to greet me, if he saw me, when I was heading into the staff lunch room; no one else at RCCF ever did that! It was an honor to know him and I will really miss him . Prayers and Hugs, Nancy Swanson

Krohn loved his job, loved his family and loved his coworkers. Bob was one of the first people at the workhouse to accept me with open arms during a difficult transition in my life. My only regret is that I did not take the time too help him more during a very difficult time in his life. Krohn you helped mold me into the worker I am, and gave me confidence that I could do the job just being the person I am. RIP BIG HOMIE I can still see you pulling in the parking lot at work with the big wheels shining :). You will be missed and that's real....
