Rolf David BAGLIEN

1951 - 2022

Dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend Passed away on July 19, 2022, at his home in Arden Hills, MN, following a year-long journey with cancer. Rolf was born to Duane and Marcella Baglien (Faunce) on February 24, 1951. He graduated from Washburn High School in 1969, attending Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he played baseball (GO CATS!). There he met his wife, Pam. He graduated in 1974 with his MBA, starting a 40+ year career as an internal auditor. Rolf and Pam married on June 28, 1975. They called Deerfield, IL their home initially and welcomed their first child there, Kim. They then moved to the Shoreview-Arden Hills area, where their son Brad was born. Throughout his life, Rolf developed deep friendships though his love of golf, football, baseball, and fishing. He was a lifelong Minnesota sports fan and is still waiting for the Vikings to win their first Super Bowl. He enjoyed spending time with his family and proudly coached his daughter and son in a variety of youth sports. After retirement, Rolf became an avid reader and home chef, while also enjoying travel with friends and family both locally and internationally. Rolf was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Marcella. He is survived by his wife, Pam; their children, Kim (Derick), Brad (Lindsay); grandchildren Coraline, Jack, and Finn; siblings Judy, Scott, Ross, Kevin, and Barbara; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends. A memorial to celebrate Rolf's life will be scheduled at a later date.
