Ronald VEGEMAST Obituary

Age 83 of Minnetonka Passed away peacefully on June 9, 2016 He will be greatly missed by his wife, Marjorie; children, Judith Schlink (Gregory), David (Therese), Robert (Thomas), Elizabeth Heck (Paul); and grandchildren, Parker and Tia. Ron graduated from Shattuck High School, cum laude, lettering 8 times then earning an electrical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. His accomplished career spanned over 50 years. Ron started his consulting engineering firm in 1984, pioneering over 500 9-1-1 and public safety projects in 31 US states, Canada, Central America and the Middle East. His achievements included developing transistor components, engineering autopilot technology and traveling faster than the speed of sound as a flight test engineer. Ron served as President of the MN Society of Professional Engineers. He was gifted in his profession and highly respected, receiving many accolades. Ron lived a rich and fulfilled life, accomplishing all that he aspired. He enjoyed attending symphony and chamber orchestra concerts. Ron truly enjoyed his family and the outdoors. The family would frequently travel, downhill ski, hike, water ski and spend time together at their cabin which he cherished. The family gatherings were joyful and lively. I am so very sorry to learn of Rons passing. Our family enjoyed being friends and will always remember him as a wonderful human being. I will treasure the moments spent with him and his wonderful family.
