I´m sure I´m too late for anyone to read this but Ruth would laugh at my lateness. I was one of her lunch ladies. Our group would have breaks and lunch together for decades. Ruth talked about her family, her mom, her sons and their spouses and all the grand children. She loved pumpkin yogurt and roller skating every Thursday with her husband. Lunch ladies share so much of their lives over the table they shared. I respected Ruth so much. She always gave good common sense advice and I never felt judged. She was a strong woman who worked diligently for both the agency and her family. We laughed and shook our heads frequently when we talked about our frustrations and successes and all the lunch ladies had them. Ruth, I will take all our conversations, seal them up but never forget. Thank you for all your care and kindness.

I was truly saddened to hear about Ruth's passing. Both Ruth, and Roger, (Mr. & Mrs. Janke to me), were a huge and important part of my life growing up. After my Father passed away, they included me in all kinds of activities, and the skiing, and going up to the farm are among many of my favorite memories. I think back to those times fondly, and hope that they both knew how much it meant to me. I send sincere condolences to the Janke brothers. I grew up with all of you, and always felt like part of your family.
