Shane M. CLIFTON

Beloved Son, Father and Friend Dedicated St. Paul Firefighter & Paramedic Age 38, of South St. Paul. Passed away suddenly on August 31, 2015 of a massive heart attack while on duty at Fire Station #14 in St. Paul. Shane spent 9 years in the US Navy stationed in Japan, with deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. He also went on 2 humanitarian missions to Haiti with CHI Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Preceded in death by grandparents, Louis & June Clifton, Howard & Darlene Whitney, and Clarence & Ella Higgins; uncles, Louis Clifton, Jr., Gary & Timothy Higgins. Survived by mother, Bonnie (Perry) Whitney; father, Mick (Carol) Higgins; daughters, Elise (age 8) & her mother, Michelle Kitsmiller and Finley (age 1) & her mother Katie Strauss; 10 uncles, 10 aunts and their families; 5 step-sisters, 1 step-brother; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 10 AM Wednesday, September 9th at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1669 Arcade Street, St. Paul. Visitation 2-8 PM Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service all at the church.
