Hi Mom,
I just had to open your guest book again. I wanted to write you another time...tell you how much we love you and miss you. I have your picture at my desk, in my car and at home but for some reason it's means so much more when I can write you. You and Dad are always on my mind...my gestures make me think of the two of you. I have that half smile of Dad's, didn't notice until Jr called me Jerry a few times. It makes smile and miss him. I've been called Shelby too when I have a certain look on my face...what a compliment! Love you and miss you, your daughter.

Hi Mom,
I was thinking about you so I wanted to write you briefly. Summer's almost gone and soon it will be your one year marker. It doesn't seem that long ago and then some times if feels as though you've been gone for ever! Especially when times get tough, I want to go to your house and talk to you. Dad's a good listener too, it's just not the same as talking to you. I remember we'd stay up half the night talking to each other. I'll always cherish the times we spent together. Tara & I made a veil for her friend the other day and for some reason it seemed much harder than when you & I made Tara's veil. We felt you in spirit and we both decided after watching "Sewing with Nancy" you picked up a lot of tips along the way that it seemed effortless making Tara's veil. I smile a lot when I think of you; and wish I could give you a big hug! Take care of Johnny, your baby sis Carrie and our Grandmas & Grandpas...you'll always be in my heart and soul. With all my love, your daughter Laurie.

Tara's birthday was on Mother's day again this year. Remember the jello cakes you'd make her? She still loves that cake, so do all the grandkids! It wasn't an easy Mother's day this year but also a celebration for Tara 25! We went to see Dad after our visit with you & birthday lunch. He's trying to be strong, and misses you every waking minute. Got the marker in before Memorial Day. The picture of you & dad is great! Just how I remember you. :) I'm so proud of Dad, he planted some flowers for you and he takes care of them a couple of times a week. He even planted some at home, he also planted some tomatoes. We all miss you very much, it's just not the same without you. We're all trying to be strong to help each other out, but you know how that goes - easier said than done! I always remember the good advice you gave & try to stay focused on the positive. Love you & miss you always...your daughter Laurie.

Hi Mom,
It's me again! We managed to get through your birthday, of course we shed many tears from missing you so much. We shared some laughs too, talking about the good times we had. I talk to you every day & try to stay strong reminding myself how strong you were. We made a turkey the other day & I couldn't help but to talk to you while I was making the stuffing, I saved the neck for ya, I know how much you like it. I wish Dad would have came over for dinner; I made him a big plate to bring to him & didn't forget the cranberries! Tara & Troy are in thier new house, you'd like it, another 2 years & I should be a grandma. I hope I can be as good at it as you! Mark is doing pretty good too. Staying out of trouble & working 2 jobs. I'm very proud of both my kids. Can't forget my baby Leah, she's following your footsteps, she just loves to sew! She's so creative & funny. Love you & miss you! Laurie

Mom,
There's so much I want to tell you. I just don't know where to begin! I have been blessed with you as my mom, friend & confidant. Not a day goes by where I don't think about you at least 100 times!!! You are the heart of our family. Dad is doing OK, he REALLY misses you. I know you're still here in spirit (thanks for the many dreams I have about you) and most definitely in our hearts & soul. Take good care of Johnny, we know he's safe with you and all his other grandmas & grandpas! We love you & miss you. Your daughter Laurie!
