Of St. Paul, Age 83
Passed away on August 11th. Preceded in death by wife, Marilyn; parents, Rose and Frank Bledig; and sister, Lydia Duell. Survived by daughter, Cynthia (James) Hartman; grandchildren, Jason (fiancée, Steph Rodel) and Gina (Justin) Mihm; step great granddaughter, Makenzie Mihm; sister, Rosemary Darsie; brother-in-law, Robert (Marge) Bathen; many nieces & nephews; cousins, Bill Marchig and Dorothy Yohannan & many friends. Served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. 3M employee for 39 years. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10AM at CHURCH OF ST. THERESE, 1928 Norfolk @ Prior. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Mary's Home and Ronald McDonald House.

I don't know if you will remember this or not Cindy, but your dad saved the day for me on Feb. 10, 1968. A week before my wedding, the band that was going to play at the reception called and cancelled out. What to do at such a late notice. I was distraught. Your dad made a few calls and got together a few of his former band mates. They played for the reception and it was great. I will always remember him for that.
