DONALD HEED Obituary

DONALD JAMES HEED Donald James Heed, loving dad, grandpa and husband, died on November 24th of pneumonia and heart failure caused by a recent fall. Don was born in Ogden, Utah to Golden Harvey Heed and Venita Roach Heed. He went into the military in 1958 where he trained in the special forces for the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a veteran of foreign wars having fought in the Vietnam war. He married Janet Amelia Nielsen in 1967 and they made their home in Duchesne, Utah. They raised two daughters and lost a son. Don took great pleasure in spending time with his family. He loved his grandsons and often talked them into going to Arctic Circle for ice cream, usually right before dinner. Don loved fishing, camping and creating his own tools and anything he could rig together. Don is survived by his Wife of 56 years, Janet Heed, and his Daughter's Leslie Heed and Shelley Chamberlain, his son-in-law Jeffrey Chamberlain, and his grandson's Jameson D. Chamberlain and Jaydon J. Chamberlain. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Harvey G. Heed, Jr. and Virgil A. Heed. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service on Saturday, December 2nd at 12:00 pm, followed by lunch at the Church of Jesus Christ meeting house in Duchesne City.
