Arthur Stump Obituary

Arthur Edward Stump Art was born and raised in Fort Bragg. He served his country in the Army in World War II on Guam. He drove off road logging trucks for Union Lumber Company Arthur Edward Stump passed away peacefully on October 9, 2015 at the of 88. and drove a lumber truck for Eastman Trucking until 1951 when they moved to Ukiah. He owned Art Stump's Shell service station at the corner of State and Talmage and drove a fuel tanker for Rinehart Oil for 25 years. Art is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret, daughter Nancy Borecky and her husband George, two grand children and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Robin Arthur Stump in 1991. Memorial contributions in Art's name can be made to SNAP or Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary

Margaret and Nancy,

Sorry to read about Art's passing; also Robin's. My dad, Clair "Whit" Whitcomb, worked with Art back in Union Lumber Co days doing logging. I remember visiting with your family, I think in Ukiah. My brother,George, Nancy and Robin were about the same ages.
