Elinor Ruth Marsh

Funeral Services will be held for Elinor R. Marsh, age 91 of Bandon, on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2:30 PM in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1051 N. Cedar Point Road in Coquille, Pastor Don Gladden will officiate. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Ukiah Cemetery in Ukiah, CA. with Pastor Paul Hawks officiating there.

Elinor was born on January 28, 1915 in Aberdeen, WA to Frank and Garnet (Sturgeon) Smith. She died August 9, 2006 in Bandon.

She was married to Paul K. Marsh on August 20, 1939 in College Place, WA. They moved to Ukiah, CA where she assisted her husband in his medical office and raised their family. They lived in Ukiah for 35 years, moving to Bandon, OR in 1980 after Paul's retirement.

She was very involved in the church and played piano and organ for numerous church functions. She was known to be a super cook and she loved oil painting, art and knitting. She also loved nature and being outdoors.

She is survived by her son and his wife Gary and Marla Marsh of Berrien Springs, MI; Daughter and her husband Linda and Ron Waggoner of Bandon, OR; Brothers Leslie and his wife Twyla Smith of Coquille, OR and Stanley Smith of Bandon, OR. Four Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dr. Paul K. Marsh in 1991.
