He and his sister were honored at the Ukiah High School graduation in 2000. I had heard lots of stories about him and I was impressed with the little speech he gave. He was a credit to Ukiah and the high school. I would have liked to have met him. I'm sure he's the point guard on the angels basketball team.

Dear Perry Family,

What sad news to hear of Harold's passing.
Darline and I think of you often and I was telling a friend just this morning about Harold, the great "Don's" and about the day Harold brought his teammates home for the weekend and shooting some hoops with Harold, KC & Bill.
What fun memories I have of Harold. He had a great sense of humor. I remember playing tag football with Harold and Manuel in the freshly plowed field behind your house in Ukiah. When I was lucky enough to catch him he would briefly throw the ball up in the air when I tagged him and that meant my tag didn't count! He got a big kick out of that.
Charles Sr., Verna, Charles Jr., Reuben, Harold, Manuel and Barbara, It seems just like yesterday! I can still hear the music!
God Bless.

Dear Mrs. Daniels and Family:

We were saddened to hear about the loss of Hal. It's difficult at a time like this to find words that say the things that one can only hope will comfort you today, but may it help to know that there are near at hand those who keep you close in prayer, thought and understand your sorrow at this time.

I will always remember the great senior basketball games that we participated in and the great enjoyment we shared when we
always walked away with the "gold medal". For he was the clutch player during those last few minutes who always said come on "guys" we can win this game!

Please accept our condolences and deepest sympathy at this time.

Dear Perry Family
I met Harold at your house in Ukiah in 1954. My brother was a classmate of Manuel, and I was along that day and met Harold and his college team mates. I vagily remember but I was five at the time, They did sign the back of a 49er team picture for me. It was Bob Toueff, Harold Perry, K.C. Jones, William F. Russell. Little did we know how much history was there that day. I just ran across that picture a few days ago. God Bless Harold and the rest of your family.

Harold was a great supporter of sports in the Ukiah area. I played women's softball and my son, Andy, played on a men's team (Simpson Trucking) with Leroy. Harold will be missed greatly. Keep Harold alive in your thoughts and memories of which there are many. God bless and uplift you! With heartfelt sympathy you are remembered in our thoughts and prayers. I was a college classmate of Hal and a good friend during college years. He was a fine basketball player and a good man. I haven't seen him in many years, but I will always hold fond memories of our association. May God rest his soul.
