Martin Kurt Hoben

1949 - 2017

Martin Kurt Hoben was born on March 7, 1949 to proud parents Manfred and Iris Hoben and passed away on March 11, 2017 in Ukiah from complication of kidney failure. During his long illness Beverly, his wife of 46 years, was never far from his side. They both cherished there time spent together. His son Shaun, along with Shaun's wife Bonnie and children Nathan and Lucas, were also a great source of encouragement and support to both Martin and Bev. He loved them all dearly. Martin was preceded in death by his son Shannon and his parents. He is survived by his wife Beverly and son Shaun and family as well as by his sister Maxine Hobbs and her family. Martin lived of the in Ukiah, Ca for over 40 years and worked as the Superintendent of the Russian River Cemetery for many of them. He also volunteered for the Department of Fish and Game. Martin was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed many hours hunting in Oregon, fishing the mighty Eel River, and diving the waters of the Northern California Coast. If you were fortunate enough to be around him for long you would have noticed his original sense of humor and wouldn't be able to help but laugh at his awful jokes. Martin was a steadfast and loyal man. People were drawn to him and he cherished his many friends and family deeply. He had faith in the promised resurrection of the dead promised in God's word the Bible and had confidence he would see his loved ones again. Memorial services to be held on Saturday March 18, 2017 at 3 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness 8207 East Rd. Redwood Valley, Ca. Arrangements under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
