Robert Rowland Obituary
Robert "Bob" Rowland was born to Frank and Ruth (Jacobson) Rowland in Mille Lacs county on April 3, 1934. Bob was born in the same house as his father, Frank and lived his entire life on the family farm.
Bob farmed his adult life with his dad and then son Randy. He could fix or make most anything. He taught his sons and grandsons how to weld, plumb, electrical and anything else that needed to be fixed.
His grandson Mark always said he wanted to be with Grandpa Bob because that is where the action is. He did custom baling and could fix any JD baler that gave him trouble.
Bob was a private pilot and owned many airplanes. Micah inherited his love to fly and work on them from Grandpa Bob.
Fishing and hunting were always an adventure and he loved to teach all the kids how to enjoy the great outdoors.
He looked forward to camping and taking the grandkids in the big blue van.
Bob loved to meet people and they were always an instant friend. He was mentor and father figure to many in the area.
Bob married Kathleen "Kathy" Abrahamson on August 28, 1954 in Milaca. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
They had five children, Curtis, Kevin, Susan (Gary) Tocholke, Randy (Kyrsten) Rowland, Jill (David) Lindstrom.
Survived by wife Kathy; children Kevin, Susie, Randy and Jill; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Frank and Ruth Rowland, Einar and Elvera Abrahamson; son Curtis Robert; grandchildren Keith and Michelle; great-grandson Isaiah.
