To quote author Flavia Weedn, Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. So it was with Carl Harris - our lives are so blessed for having known Carl and to have had the privilege of calling him "Friend." He was with us at the saddest days of our lives and the happiest days of our lives. This Giant Man of God left us with precious memories and blessings beyond belief! We miss you, Carl, our friend.

He was such a respected neighbor and friend. We were honored to have him officiate our family funerals. I pray that he passed his "mantle" on. We will miss waiving to him and him tipping his cane with a big smile :)

Shirley, Carla and family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you with love. Doris and I express sincere sympathy to you, regret not being with you at this sad time. Rev. Carl was such a fine christian man, we all loved him when he was at St. Paul. He and Shirley really lived a fine christian love life. We need more examples this day and time.
Be assured you, Shirley and family will be with you in thought and prayers. It was a fine celebration for your dad on Wednesday being accepted into Gods arms.
In deepest sympathy and with much love.

Rev. Harris meant so much to so many.We
appreciate the way he preached God's word and the way he touched our lives.

To quote a well-known poet: "Some folks come into our lives and quietly go... Some stay and linger awhile, making imprints on our hearts; and our lives are never, ever the same." We were so privileged to be able to count Carl as our friend. We shall miss him, but we will treasure the wonderful memories we have in our hearts of times shared over the years. Our love to all of you.

I was sadden by the news of Rev Harris's passing. Know that you are in our prayers. As a young man at St Paul's UMC in Florence he introduced me to the working of the Methodist Church by inviting me to be a part of the committees and life of St Paul. Mary and I always treasure those years at St Paul, Rev Harris and your family.
