JOAN HOPPER Obituary

Joan Ruth Hopper, 94, longtime resident of Soulsbyville, California, passed away Nov. 14, 2024. She was born Aug. 8, 1930.
Joan grew up in Southern California and met her husband, Floyd, at Compton High School. They married and started their family in Paramount and, in 1975, moved their family north to Soulsbyville when Floyd was hired as evening dean at Columbia Community College.
Joan was a great cook and loved to read, and was a sports enthusiast who attended and supported elementary school, high school and college events. Joan and Floyd enjoyed traveling at home and abroad.
Joan was dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her children, Don Hopper and his wife, Kathy, Greg Hopper, Mark Hopper and his wife, Angie, and Mike Hopper and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren Sophia Hopper, Kristen Hammell and her husband, Jon, Shane Hopper and Ryan Hopper; and great-granddaughters Everleigh and Adelynn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L Hopper, on Sept. 6, 2011.
