KATHLEEN MYRIE WILLIAMS

1952 - 2025

We are deeply grieved to declare that Kathleen Myrie Williams passed away peacefully from cancer and other health conditions on July 19, 2025, in Sonora, California, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 27, 1952, in Tulsa Oklahoma, to Wanda J. Williams and Charles Lee Williams. Kathleen was primarily raised in Newark, California, with her three siblings, Wesley Williams, Teresa Morris and Paula Bengston. She graduated high school in 1966 and obtained numerous college certificates. She studied and worked as a paralegal as well as an executive secretary in the Bay Area. She later spent several years working for United Way.
She lived in California most of her life. In 1975, she married Dennis C. O'Mara and had two daughters, Arowyn M. O'Mara and Elizabeth E. Flau. She later married Ralph S. Talavera in 1992.
Kathleen was a free and loving soul with many friends and had a large family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished her children dearly. She was loving and protective of her younger sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, brother and, most recently, her mother, whom she is now reunited with in heaven.
A celebration of life is being planned for Memorial Day weekend, May 23, 2026. Per Kathleen's wishes this will be had at a beach location. Plans for this celebration will be finalized by May 1, 2026. Please email eomara78@gmail.com for details if you wish to attend.
