Robert Cantley Obituary
Spider is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan, adventurers together; and his children, Bobby, Mark, Bonnie and Laurie. Also, his daughter-in-law Nancy, son-in-law Greg and amazing grandchildren, Eric, Allie, Tyler, Maddy and Jack; and precious great-grandchildren McCoy, Inez and Eve.
Spider's family moved to California and he began his career in commercial insulation. An active and involved member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 16 since 1957, Spider became a warrior for the victims of mesothelioma. He dedicated countless hours in depositions to help his fellow union family who suffered from their work with asbestos.
Additionally, his beloved mother passed from leukemia, and it inspired a years-long involvement with The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. In 2019, Spider was awarded the society's Presidential Award for 40 years of service and raising over $23 million dollars for LLS through the annual Cure-a-Thon and Crippsmas Place.
Spider dedicated his life to family, to community and to giving back. A force of nature and great humanitarian, Spider will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Please consider a donation to the society in Spider's memory.

Uncle Spide was my dad's very best friend (John Galvin). I grew up knowing this loving man, in memory of my daddy who passed away way too young. Spider loved us like his own. He welcomed us to his Christmas Court with open arms every year. This man is one in a million with his giving heart and love of life. If you knew him, you were so very lucky. I'm so sad to say good-bye, but we will see each other again. I love you forever! Love the Galvin's and Cassidy's!!

I just learned of Spider's passing. May he rest in peace. He was a great friend of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will forever be remembered.
