Arthur Lagios Obituary

Arthur James Lagios, a former award-winning news director and newscaster, and corporate executive, passed away on May 12, 2025 at the age of 81, due to complications of Parkinson's disease.

Early in his career, Arthur worked at radio stations in Nashua and Manchester, N.H., and Worcester, Mass. Among the awards Arthur received is the United Press International Best Radio Editorial in the state of Massachusetts.

Subsequently, Arthur spent almost 10 years as news editor of the ABC Radio News Network in New York City. Upon returning to New England, Arthur worked for the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper as the community relations director.

Later he joined Harvey Construction Company as vice president of marketing and communications. Retiring at the age of 62, after many years as senior vice president of The MacMillan Company, Arthur and his wife Ruth relocated to Florida.

After almost 50 years of marriage, Ruth passed away from cancer in 2018. Arthur is survived by his daughter Jessica H. Lagios, of Melbourne, Florida, and his brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Wanda Lagios, of Indialantic, Florida.

I'm so sorry to learn of Arthur's passing. I worked with him when he was VP of Marketing at MacMillin Company (construction) in Keene, NH in the early 2000s. He was a one-of-a-kind soul, in a good way. My deepest condolences to the family.
