Barbara Kasper Obituary

Barbara A. Kasper, 79, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 11, 1946, she was the daughter of John and Doris (Samara) Finn. She resided in Manchester for most of her life and was a proud graduate of Central High School, Class of 1964.

Barbara worked as a legal secretary with attorney Michael B. Clougherty where she dedicated thirty-five years of service with professionalism, loyalty, and kindness. She later continued her career with attorney McDowell & Morrissette, PA, where she was respected not only for her skill and dedication, but also for the warmth and friendship she brought to her workplace.

Barbara had a unique sense of style that was subtle but noted and admired. She appreciated the simple things in life for herself, but was always a huge fan of her family and friend's successes and achievements. She adored her pets and cared for them with the same tenderness she showed to those around her. Barbara was always on the go and would take great joy in bringing people together. Whether hosting holiday parties or casual get-togethers, she created an atmosphere filled with warmth and laughter.

Above all, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, sister and dear friend. Thoughtful, compassionate, and quick to offer support, she was treasured by those fortunate enough to know her. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered with love and admiration. An angel has left us.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, William Kasper, with whom she shared forty-five years of marriage; one son, Nicholas Kasper, of Miami, FL; two sisters, Patricia Alger and her husband James, of Nottingham, and Nancy Finn and her husband Jeffery Halsey, of Exeter; a step-nephew, David Halsey; along with many cousins and dear friends who will fondly remember her warmth and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

I have known Barbara for over 50 years, through my friendship with her sister, Pat. Barbara's smile and optimistic outlook on life was infectious. My condolences to Pat and Nancy.

Barbara was the kindest person I have ever meet and she had the grace of an Angel and a huge heart; over the years I have witnessed her always taking care of others, whether it was a family member or a friend and gave support and love to those whole heartly, even the furry stay cat’s that would roam the property, she would feed them and gave them a warm and loving home. That was the kind of person she was, I do indeed feel fortune to have known her and will miss her dearly. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.
