Barbara was a special person with a bright intellect and spirit, a warm and welcoming personality, and a deep devotion to God. And now, she has "slipped the surly bonds of earth... and touched the face of God." Peace be with you, Barbara.

Barbara contributed to Interfaith Women of NH programming on three separate occasions and arranged for a Tour of Saint Joseph Cathedral, seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of NH, for the women. IWNH is an ecumenical group of women founded in 2005 to share religious beliefs in order to build community among women of all faiths. Notably, Barbara...." shared her past, sometimes frightening, experiences helping to develop leadership among Protestant and Catholic youth in Northern Ireland (1980 to 1990). Many of them were brought to the U.S. and Canada for a time of respite and freedom from the violent conditions under which they lived. Protestant youth were placed with Catholic families and vice versa, leading them to discover that we are really all the same." (IWNH Program Archives 2017 "Faith, Diversity and Peace".) Barbara's good works will continue to bear fruit. May she rest in peace.

I met Barbara several years back when she was involved with the NH Aviation Historical Society and "bumped into her" a few times over the years. I was saddened to hear of her passing and have made a donation in her memory to the NHAHS.
