Calvin Frost Obituary

Calvin "Cal" B. Frost, 73, of Manchester, NH, died December 21, 2021, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Keene, NH on April 27, 1948, he was the son of Clenn and Alberta (Bradbury) Frost. He was raised in Keene before moving to Manchester in 1972.

Cal graduated from Keene High School, Class of 1966. He earned a bachelor's degree from Keene State College and a masters degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Until his retirement, Cal was a real estate manager with New England Telephone Company for thirty-five years. Subsequently, he was the executive director of Junior Achievement of New Hampshire and was a manager for Bedford Design. He was the original co-owner of the Bike Barn.

Cal served as a trustee for the Manchester Boys and Girls Club. In addition, he was director and chairman of Bellwether Credit Union. He was an Eagle Scout and donated his time and talent to being Scout Master of Troop 112.

An avid outdoorsman, Cal enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who brought him endless pride and joy. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Cal will be remembered for his caring, servant heart and kind, selfless ways. He will be missed deeply and will always hold an honored place in the history of his family.

Family members include his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Margaret (O'Donnell) Frost; a son, Johnathan Frost of Manchester; a daughter, Meghan Swartz of WV; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Katherine, Brady, and Carter; a brother, Gary Frost of Bristol, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours are Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 4 to 6 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

A service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM.

Burial with military honors will take place in the Spring at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
