Cecilia M. Boudakian

Cecilia M. (Sylvester) Boudakian, 94, of Manchester, NH, died October 2, 2024, at Merrimack Community Hospice House, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, NH on March 10, 1930, she was the daughter of Alfred and Dora (Janik) Sylvester. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.

Cecilia graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of1947.

Cecilia spent many years in the shoe business with her husband at Leavitt's Department Store. Later, she worked in the cafeteria at Manchester Memorial High School and Jewett Street School. Until her retirement, she worked at Bee Bee Shoe Store.

Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Afterwards, she was a member of St. Anthony Church.

Cecilia was proud of her independence. She will be fondly remembered for her strong and determined personality. She was a great friend to many people, even from different generations, who were impressed by her sharp mind and active body. Her hobbies included playing cards, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and games on her Ipad. She also enjoyed sewing and watching old game shows. In her earlier years, Cecilia was active at Lakeside Lanes Bowling League and South Little League.

She loved life and her family dearly. Cecilia was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was especially proud of her precious grandchildren who were blessed to have the most wonderful and loving grandmother. Her family mourns her death but rejoices in the love and wisdom she parted. She will be deeply missed and her memory held dear.

She was married to her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Charles "Chas" Boudakian. He died July 8, 2010. She was also predeceased by a sister, Rita Chartier; and brothers, Henry, Francis, Arthur, and Robert.

Family members include two daughters, Sandra Lambert and her husband, Donald, of Manchester, Donna Kenney of Hooksett; and a son, Charles Boudakian of Manchester; four grandchildren, Cara Lake and husband, Matthew, Crista Lambert, Brian Kenney and wife, Allie, and Brooke Boudakian and husband, John; eight great-grandchildren, Paige, Eve, Carson, Tessa, Conley, Max, Mylo, and Crew; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours are Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

The funeral will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
