Clare Parker Obituary

Clare Otis Parker was born August 6 th , 1935, the ninth of nine children born to Clifford Stanley Parker and Maryella Curtis Parker in Battle Creek, Michigan.

On November 4 th , 2025, after a brave fight against cancer, he passed away peacefully, at home and surrounded by his loving family.

Orphaned at an early age, he was shepherded by his older brother Robert to the Green Mountains of Vermont where they grew up on family farms, learning the many aspects of successful farming; lessons which would serve him well later in life. It was there that he met, fell in love with and married Beverly Ann Stowell of Chester, Vt. Together they shared a wonderful, loving, and fruitful journey through 69 years of marriage.

After a few years he and Bev moved with their two young sons to California. In addition to welcoming their third son while there, they enjoyed many aspects of life on the West Coast but before long became homesick for the northeast, it's beautiful and varied terrain of lakes, rivers, mountains and, most of all, four seasons, so they decided

to move the whole family back to New England. They settled in New Hampshire where Clare found employment with one of the larger companies in the area, International Packings Corp., where he worked for over 25 years.

In 1984 he and Beverly moved to the Manchester, NH area where they bought

into a small company which assembled printed circuit boards. Even though neither Clare nor Bev knew anything about that type of business, they went right to work for many twelve-hour days and seven-day work weeks, and in short order bought out the other owners. Over the course of the ensuing 35 years, CirTech, as it was known, became a prominent and respected leader in the contract assembly business in NH, Massachusetts and beyond, eventually employing almost 100 people, many with 25 or more years of service with CirTech, until they sold the business and retired in 2019 (at which time Clare was 84!).

Having grown up on a farm Clare loved the outdoors and hunting was, for him, not just a hobby but a cherished tradition. He, along with some family and friends, would rent a cabin near Newfound Lake in NH and spend several weekends each hunting season there: playing cards, telling tall tales, having breakfast at the Bristol

Diner, and, yes, doing some hunting as well.

Golf was another of Clare's passions. He would play with almost anyone who would tee it up and he made many dear friends on the course and at the 19 th hole. With three of his closest friends: Nick Milley, Dave Lutz, and Steve Craven (they dubbed themselves "The League of Four") and over the course of over 30 years together, they embarked on golfing adventures up and down the east coast and as far west as Las Vegas. Back home in NH, he started a little friends and family tournament that became the CirTech Invitational - a golfing extravaganza followed by a grand awards banquet - which became a cherished tradition that Clare shared with 60 dear friends and family for the better part of two decades. Many participants still have a hat, shirt, or golf towel from one of those tournaments.

Clare will be fondly remembered for his positive outlook on life, his quirky good

humor and quick wit, and his exceptional leadership qualities. His legacy will live on through the memories he created the love he shared, and the impact he had on those fortunate enough to have shared time with him.

In addition to his loving wife Beverly, Clare leaves behind three sons and their wives: Ron and Lisa Parker of Manchester, NH, Whit and Rose Parker of Worcester, MA, and Brad and Deb Parker of Franklin, NH He also leaves six cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you please consider making a donation to your

local food pantry. There will be a private ceremony for his immediate family.

Beverly, you and Clare hold a special place in my life. I bought the house that you had were selling when you moved to the river. Clare was so easy to talk to and wanted me to see his favorite spot on the deck to have his morning coffee in good weather. I also wish to thank you for your gracious gift of the items that were left at the property that didn't fit at your river house. Both of you made it so easy for me to enjoy my favorite property that I have ever owned. RIP Clare.
