Hooksett - Cornelius J. Cadigan Jr. of Hooksett died on May 30, 2015, at the Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his family.He was born in Boston on Dec. 5, 1939, to Cornelius J. and Ethel (Martel) Cadigan.He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and later graduated from Boston College, Class of 1967. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard, where he spent 30 years before retiring and going to work for the MBTA in Boston.He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed Florida spring training. He loved the beaches, but above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.Family members include his longtime beloved companion, Maureen M. Downing of Hooksett; his two daughters, Susan Cadigan of Buzzards Bay, Mass., Jill A. R. Cadigan of Duxbury, Mass.; his two sons, Neil J. Cadigan of Duxbury, Mass., Sean Cadigan of Newburyport, Mass.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his stepson, William Falzone of Hooksett; his stepdaughter, Pamela Dunlap of Boscawen; and his sister, Dolores Dunlap of Summit, N.J.; and his former wife, Mary M. Cadigan..

SERVICES: Calling hours will be at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.A memorial service with military honors will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, at a time to be announced.
